All images and footage related to this series was contributed by On-Air Entertainment, Calvin Fisher and Warren De Vos. The title says it all. This is a series of work that was left unfinished. An incomplete project that started with the best of intentions, gusto and a handful of very special humans who gave their time to me for this pilot run. Only, to never have the fruits of their labour and mine... Air. How embarrassing right? You have the best of the best within your industry, dig out already precious hours for you, and flop the delivery. Crickets. I get caught up in the hamster wheel of staying afloat with life’s lemons. Nothing surfaces. Well, it doesn’t surface as envisioned till now. Fast forward a year and a bit, time to contemplate life’s loose ends while on lockdown and stumbling across the stills images made me realize that I need to honour these special souls in some way or form. Just like that, The Unfinished Series is here. Simplified to a blog post each and social media love, which I hope my guests and contributors mentioned above, will accept and celebrate with me. Being, that I don’t have the completed video footage for each guest, I will be flexing deep into my writing muscle to take you back to these unique moments, the quirks and the nuggets held tight from each encounter. What I love, is that it’s like going into a vault. Forcing you to see yourself a year or so ago and reflecting on just how far you’ve come again. Also makes me think of the saying: “You didn’t come this far, to come THIS FAR!” Moral of the story, well one of many that I’m personally taking from this.
